So here we are. Velosano 4. 2017.
Twenty-two years ago I married Paul Madonia. 1995. I adore him now as I did then. We have been through a lot these last few years. But he is here. We are here. By the grace of God, and with the care of the amazing doctors, surgeons, specialist and caregivers at the Cleveland Clinic, my Paulie is here and we are together.
Cancer is a funny thing. There are so many others. So many you don’t know about. But when you are diagnosed you find them. They find you. And suddenly, you find yourself embraced by this wonderful caring community of human beings. People who are living with a diagnosis that we all fear. But they do it and they do it with an unparalleled grace that we can only imagine and admire.
We will ride as a family in Velasano 4 this year. Our family has grown and will grow again. We will be joined this time around by family as far away as California, as well as new friends. We will ride through the streets of downtown Cleveland, with people cheering and ringing cow bells. We will ride to raise money to fight a disease that we refuse to give into, that we refuse to let beat us. Join us. Help us to fight so that our children will not have to to face it.
Paul and I must raise $1000 each. Michael and Maggie must each raise $500. Support us if you can. Ride with us if you would like. We would LOVE to have you. Our links are below.
We have been so well supported over the years. Thank you. Truly, thank you. It really does mean so much when our phones ding each time we are sponsored. It sounds goofy, but each time, it makes you pause and think, “Wow, that was so nice.” So thank you. We appreciate your prayers, your support, you donations and your love.
