The VeloSano is more than a fundraising event. It’s more than simply a bike ride. VeloSano is a movement with the goal of bringing an entire community together to help one another. I’ve joined the movement in VeloSano, and I need your help to raise money for the cause. In the past, as both a grad student and a researcher, I have worked on research projects funded by foundations and Federal and NIH grants, but I believe that the VeloSano award funding model is an innovative, sustainable, and competitive alternative to Federal and foundation-based funding sources. This peer-to-peer community-based funding approach builds a substantial foundation and a model that will play a large part in the future of medical research funding. 100% of your financial support will be given directly to support cancer research, and regional physicians and scientists are currrently working on research projects funded by awards from YOUR financial support in 2014, 2015, and 2016!
The goal is to bring sustainable funding to cancer research by enlisting the passion and energy of thousands of people who wish to give back…including YOU! This is my fourth year participating in VeloSano, and I am confident that it will be the best year yet! July 21st-23rd of this year, I will ride 200 miles to demonstrate my support for this cause and my faith in Northeast Ohio medical research programs and institutions. I am delighted to captain the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center Team for our third year of participation as a group.
Case CCC 2016 team represented a broad spectrum from the Case CCC partnership, including principal investigators, students, physicians, and administrative staff from University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, Seidman Cancer Center, Case/Case SOM, Cleveland Clinic, and family and friends of our riders. Our continuing goal is to engage and involve the Case CCC communities so that we can bring more support to VeloSano and more research funds to our partnership and top-tier medical research institutions in the Northeast Ohio area.
Thank you for your support of my VeloSano fundraising campaign, and please consider supporting my team, the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center Team, as a donor, a rider, or a volunteer:
How far will you go for the cure?
