Last November, just a little over three months after my brother, Tony, rode the 25-mile course in the 2017 Velosano Bike-To-Cure, we lost him to cancer. I had promised to bike the 50-mile challenge with him this year...and I did -- I rode Tony's bike in his memory and completed the 50-plus mile ride along with hundreds of others who are committed to Velosano's mission.
The VeloSano is a bike ride and community fund raiser that took place for the fifth consecutive year, on July 20-22 in 2018. As in last year, more than 2000 riders raised several million dollars -- and every one of those dollars will be applied to cancer research at the Cleveland Clinic.
If you donated to my ride, you helped me reach my goal -- to improve cancer outcomes by funding innovative research. But the fundraising is not over. I have until October 2018 too meet or exceed my goal and help shorten the road to a cure.
For those of you who donated, I am deeply grateful. For those who are visiting this page for the first time, please consider a gift -- no matter the size -- that will honor and support those who heal, and seek to be healed.
