This is my 4th year participating in this event, and my 2nd year as a rider! This is also my 3rd year working in Cancer Research at Taussig Cancer Center!
Why do I ride? My mother was diagnosed at Cleveland Clinic in 2008 with Stage III Breast Cancer at the age of 56. After a complicated course of chemotherapy, surgery and radiation, she was cancer free until 2013 when it returned with a vengence, metastasizing to her bones and eventually the meninges of her brain and spinal cord. She lost her battle with cancer on January 6, 2014. My grandmother was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010 and is currently cancer free!
100% of the money I raise will support lifesaving cancer research at Cleveland Clinic. The goal is to bring sustainable funding to cancer research by enlisting the passion and energy of thousands of people who wish to give back…including YOU!
Thank you for your support of my VeloSano fundraising campaign!
