This is my story, or rather, my wife and father's story of cancer. My dad died 28 months after being diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma or bile duct cancer in 2008. A year after he was diagnosed, my wife, Heidi, was diagnosed with Carcinoid Cancer which is a neuroendocrine tumor (NET) of the intestine.
By the time the Cleveland Clinic found and removed the tumor the disease had already metastasized to the liver. Heidi is stable thanks to treatment from the Cleveland Clinic, but still needs a cure. My dad died at 68. His dad died when my dad was 20 from throat cancer. His mom had breast cancer. My mother is a melanoma survivor and both of her parents had cancer. Cancer sucks and needs a cure. That's why I am on the bike and searching for a cure. Be part of that cure. Donate what you can. I appreciate it.
VeloSano is more than a fundraising event. It’s more than simply a bike ride. VeloSano is a movement with the goal of bringing an entire community together to help one another. I’ve joined the movement in VeloSano, and I need your help to raise money for the cause. 100% of the money I raise will support lifesaving cancer research at Cleveland Clinic. The goal is to bring sustainable funding to cancer research by enlisting the passion and energy of thousands of people who wish to give back…including YOU!
Thank you for your support of my VeloSano fundraising campaign. Donate today!
How far will you go for the cure?
