Welcome to the Fresh Air Camp contribution page
Dear Friends, Family and Co-Workers,
Thank you for coming to the page set up on behalf of Fresh Air Camp.
Fresh Air Camp is an annual six-day, overnight camp, in Strongsville, OH for children who are tracheostomy or ventilator dependent. Fresh Air Camp allows children with these respiratory difficulties to experience a week away from home, be a kid, and forget about their complex medical problems. Many of these children have never had a chance to attend a slumber party or even spend a night away from home, except in a hospital. Our campers are able to experience a slumber party, with emphasis on “the party”; they enjoy many firsts: Fishing trips – swimming – horseback riding – starring in a talent show. They sit around a campfire, listen to ghost stories, play pranks, and in general, do what children are supposed to do at camp, HAVE FUN.
Fresh Air Camp is a grant and donation funded program, and there is no cost for the child to attend.
Fresh Air Camp was developed by volunteers from the following organizations:
- Akron Children’s Hospital
- Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital
- Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital for Rehabilitation
- MetroHealth Medical Center
- Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital
Thanks again for your support.
